The BOYCOTT CHINESE PRODUCTS campaign has gain momentum in India. Many of us might have pledged to use the alternative products instead of using the Chinese products. So this post aims at giving information about the Chinese and Non-Chinese laptops companies in Indian markets that you might not be aware of.

Is there many alternatives of Chinese Laptops?

The Chinese brands have dominated the mobile market of india. There are very few Non-Chinese brands when we talk about smartphone brands. But this is not the case with laptops. In India, Taiwanese companies have dominated the laptop market. Taiwanese laptop brands includes MSI, Acer, Asus. There are certain Indian brands also which contributes to low-end budget segment.

The Chinese Laptop Brands in Indian market

Lenovo - This is the much purchased Chinese laptop brand in India. Lenovo Group Limited is a Chinese multinational technology company which was founded by Liu Chuanzhi along with a group of ten experienced engineers on 1 November 1984, in Beijing, with 200,000 yuan. It still has its headquarters in Beijing.

It's laptop series includes Thinkpad, Thinkbook, IdeaPad, Yoga, and Legion. It's desktop series includes IdeaCentre and ThinkCentre.

Xiaomi - Xiaomi is a well-known Chinese brand which offers electronic products to consumers. It manufactures smartphones, smart TV, Laptops, trimmers, shavers and mobile accessories like speakers, headphones, smart bands, powerbanks, etc It was founded in April 2010 and has headquarters in Beijing.

It has recently launched it's two laptops - Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition. It also manufactures Mi air series laptops.

Huawei - Huawei is a leading smartphone manufacturing Chinese company.It was founded by Ren Zhengfei in 1987 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Huawei has not released it's laptops for Indian markets but you can still ship from China. It's popular laptop series is Huawei matebook.

What are the alternative Brands of Chinese brands?

Acer - Acer is a Taiwanese multinational company. It was founded by Stan Shih Carolyn Yeh George Huang on 1 August 1976. It is headquartered in Xizhi, New Taipei City, Taiwan. 

It's main laptop series includes Acer Aspire, Acer predator, Acer swift, Acer nitro, Acer Aspire E, Acer Aspire F , Acer Aspire one , Acer Aspire P, etc. Acer predator is a high-end gaming series of Acer.

Asus - Asus is also a Taiwan-based multinational company which manufactures smartphones, laptops, computer Hardware, etc. It was Founded by Ted Hsu, M.T. Liao, Wayne Tsiah, T.H. Tung on 2 April 1989 and is headquartered in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan.

Asus zenbook, Asus vivobook, Asus TUF gaming, Asus vivobook gaming, Asus ROG (Republic of Gamers) are some of the laptop series of Asus. Asus ROG REPUBLIC OF GAMERS is a popular gaming series of Asus.

Apple - Apple is an American multinational company headquartered in Cupertino, California. It was Founded by Steve Jobs Steve Wozniak Ronald Wayne on April 1, 1976.

It's laptop series are MacBook pro, MacBook air. It's desktop series are Mac Mini, Mac pro.

Dell - Dell is another American multinational Company headquartered in Round Rock, Texas, U.S. It was founded by Michael Dell on1 February, 1984.

It's prominent laptop series are Dell XPS, Dell Latitude, Dell Vostro, Dell G and Alienware.

Microsoft - Microsoft is also American multinational company which is popular for it's operating system - Windows. It is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. It manufactures Microsoft surface series notebooks.

HP - Hewlett-Peckard Company was an American multinational company headquartered in Palo Alto, California.

Some of hp's laptop series are HP pavilion, HP 14, HP 15Q, HP zbook, HP Spectre x360, HP Notebook.

Indian Laptop brands

i-Ball - i-Ball is an Indian consumer electronic manufacturing company founded by Anil Parasrampuria, Varun Daga & Shreans Daga in 2001 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India. 

Some of it's laptop series are CompBook, Premio, Netizen, Aer3.

Micromax - Micromax is another Indian consumer electronic company headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, India. It was founded by Rahul Sharma on 29 March 2000.

It's laptop series include Neo, Alpha, Ignite, Canvas lapbook, Canvas laptab.

Would it be easy to Boycott chinese laptop brands?

Boycotting Chinese products will be favourable for Indians in the long run. It would make India self-dependent and will accomplish the mission of 'Vocal For Local'. It will not be too difficult to boycott chinese laptops as there are many alternatives available in the market. Indians should also make a habit of buying indigenous products to promote Indian companies and to provide Pace to the mission of 'Vocal for Local' mission.
